I wasn’t totally sure what to expect with these, given they’re JOOLA’s first pickleball shoe, but I ended up absolutely loving them. Designed specifically for pickleball movement, the R4lly has a wider toe box, which was a huge win for me. No calluses, no foot issues, even after long sessions.
They fit true to size with a roomier forefoot compared to traditional tennis shoes, and the cushioning feels similar to what you’d find in marathon running shoes, so they’re super comfortable while still feeling responsive on court. The dynamic gel sleeve also helps keep your foot locked in place, which makes a big difference during quick movements.
Durability has been solid so far, and I’ve gotten so many compliments on the green colorway, it’s definitely a standout.

Franklin released their first-ever pickleball shoe this past October, and it’s already been getting great feedback. For a first entry into the space, they did a really solid job.
The standout here is the traction. They use a herringbone pattern with a pivot point, which gives you some of the best grip I’ve felt, especially during quick cuts and direction changes. I also noticed how breathable these are. The mesh upper keeps your feet cool and dry, which makes a big difference, especially when playing in warmer climates. Wet shoes are the worst, so this was a big plus.
There’s little to no break-in time, which is always a win, and they’re designed to perform well both indoors and outdoors. Overall, just a really easy shoe to throw on and play in.

What stood out most was the combination of lateral stability and how lightweight they feel. They’re also comfortable right out of the box, which is always a win. I’ve played in these all day and had zero foot pain after, making them a great option for long sessions.

I first tried Mizunos about a year ago and have loved what I’ve tried since. These are easily one of the fastest-feeling shoes on court.
They’re super lightweight and great for aggressive movement, especially if you like to stay quick on your feet and cover a lot of ground. Once they’re broken in, they feel really responsive and locked in.
They do run on the narrower side and take a couple sessions to fully break in, but after that they’re extremely comfortable. They also come with a six-month durability guarantee, which is always a nice bonus.
That said, I’ve had mine for over a year with zero breakdown, which says a lot about how well they hold up.
