Fourteen months after the original Boomstik shook up the power paddle market, Selkirk is preparing its next big release. Here's a first look ahead of the November 10 launch.

It's easy to lose sight of this now, but there was a time, not so long ago, when the power paddle market wasn't quite so, well... loud.

Every brand has a hard-hitting paddle these days, but rewind just over a year ago to August of 2025, and the landscape looked a lot different. Full-foam cores were still finding their footing in the market. "Durable" grit wasn't on anyone's radars. Edgeless paddles were still a thing. Yikes.

Then Selkirk dropped a bomb with the Boomstik.

With one release, the brand redefined what a power paddle could be. And they had a pile of patents to prove it.

  • BoomCore™ foam supplied the power
  • PureFoam™ eliminated core-crushing
  • An EVA PowerRing™ brought it all together
  • Layered on top was a brand-new durable texture called InfiniGrit™
  • And prominently placed on the sides was the fire-red MOI Tuning System™, meticulously engineered to provide the largest, most forgiving sweet-spot in the game

And it all just worked. Boomstik became an instant hit, the must-have paddle for players of all levels looking to take their game to the next level.

But that was more than 14 months ago now. In paddle years, that's an eternity.

On November 10, Selkirk is set to debut its successor: the Boomstik ST.

We can't give you all the juicy details just yet, but if a picture really is worth a thousand words, these should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect.
