Heading to Florida for the Grapefruit League? Bring That Paddle!

Earlier this week we highlighted all of the fantastic pickleball facilities in and around spring training sites in Arizona for those fans making the trip to see their favorite team gear up for the 2024 season.

Now we'll turn our attention to Florida, where 15 franchises call home for the next six weeks. Between East Coast spots like Jupiter and West Palm to Fort Myers and Sarasota on the Gulf side, there are no shortage of beautiful locations to escape to in February and March.

Our friends at Bounce (Find courts anywhere with Bounce's pickleball court finder) have compiled the best and most accessible courts nearby big spring training locations throughout the Sunshine State.

Clearwater (12 locations)

Clearwater, home of the Phillies, boasts a dozen locations for pickleball. The Clearwater Beach Library and Recreation Complex at 69 Bay Esplanade is one of the free options.

Fort Myers (23 locations)

The Twins and Red Sox both train in Fort Myers, home to 23 locations. Surely plenty of New Englanders and Minnesotans will be escaping winter in the coming weeks. Brooks Community Park at 50 South Road has a dozen free outdoor courts.

Jupiter (14 locations)

The home of the Marlins and Cardinals, beautiful Jupiter has no shortage of spots to sneak away for a game or two. Carlin Park at 1 Van Kessel Parkway has six free outdoor courts.

Sarasota (24 locations)

You know Sarasota will have plenty of spots to play, including at a church (Church of the Palms) and a beach (Siesta Key Public Beach). We'll spotlight Sarasota Pompano Pickleball at 601 S. Pompano Ave., a beautiful looking facility with a dozen free courts.

Tampa (23 locations)

For all of those Yankee fans descending on the Sunshine State, there are plenty of spots in the greater Tampa area. Rowlett Park at 2401 E. Yukon St. has eight free courts with lights for your pickling pleasure.

West Palm Beach (12 locations)

The Nationals and Astros train in West Palm, which has a dozen spots to choose from. While a handful require some sort of membership, Lilac Park at 4175 Lilac St. looks more than sufficient for out-of-towners.
