The amateur showdown takes place November 10th to 12th at Court 4 in Detroit and is sponsored by locally-based companies, Revolin, Deep Eddy and FÜL Beverage.

The format of the tournament is pretty straightforward:
- round-robin with a guaranteed 5 games
- followed by single elimination knockout
- all round-robin games are done within a 3 hour period
