The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) Tour is back in action in the states less than two weeks after APP Chicago. This marks the first time the tour is playing in Detroit, Michigan.

The event is being held at Vibe Credit Union Showplace in Novi, Michigan, a northwestern suburb of Detroit. Some of the players are going to really have to power through some jetlag, as there were multiple players who went from the APP Chicago over to the UK to the English Open last weekend and are now back in Detroit four days later.

Women’s Singles

The #1 seed, Kat Stewart, made the finals, beating Emilia Schmidt and Amanda Hendry
Bobbi Oshiro, the #3 seed, will also be playing on Sunday, because she beat Jada Bui and Amber Policare

Prediction: Stewart is 4-2 all-time against Oshiro, and 2-0 in the last two meetings - advantage Stewart

Men’s Singles

The #1 seed, Ronan Camron, barely amde it through to the finals - in the round of 16 he beat William Sobek 12-10 in the third, in the quarters, he beat Brandon Lane 11-9 in the third, and then beat Balint Gergo 11-9, 11-9 in the semis
Dusty Boyer, the #3 seed, had a similar run to the finals - he beat David Bieger 11-9, 12-10 in the round of 16, Tristan Dussault 11-9, 11-9 in the quarters, and Andre Millet 11-9, 11-7 in the semis

Prediction: In the two matches I found, Camron has beat Boyer twice - I am saying the third time is the charm for Boyer and he wins gold.

Mixed Doubles
