2026 APP Vlasic Classic Chicago Preview

by Erik Tice on

The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) Tour is back in action in Chicago this weekend at Danny Cunniff Park in Highland Park.

It’s been nearly two months since the APP Tour was in action in the states, at the Vlasic Classic Cincinnati in June.

This event is hosting the second ever Pro Invitational the APP Tour has put on. Earlier this year at the APP Sacramento Open, the tour debuted the unique mixed doubles event. Just like the first time, the proceeds of the event go to Shriner’s Children’s, the APP Tour’s official charity partner. The Pro Invitational takes place Thursday evening after the singles day concludes.

Weather Outlook

Humidity levels look like they are going to to be in the upper 90s, so it is going to be hot and humid. Sunday shows the largest promise of rain, so be on the lookout through the APP’s social media handles for any possible rescheduling of events. The Franklin X-40 is going to be playing extra slow this weekend with the head and the humidity.
