The winningest player in PPA Tour history officially ends her current, multi-year paddle sponsorship... now what?
After we broke the news that Anna Leigh Waters' likeness has been scrubbed from the Paddletek website, the rumor mill has been churning double-time with speculation about where she could be headed next – or if she's even leaving Paddletek at all.
The short answer: we don't know right now.
But we do know this: Anna Leigh's current contract with Paddletek officially ends today, Wednesday, December 31.
We can say with some certainty that her next paddle deal will be a massive one – six zeros per year for sure. And it will almost certainly extend multiple years, three or more.
Zane Navratil posted a video exploring some options, including JOOLA, Selkirk, and Franklin... even wildcards like Vulcan, adidas, or Wilson.
And there's speculation that Nike is courting her for an apparel deal, another mouth-watering but entirely unsubstantiated prospect at the moment. Could Nike also get into the paddle game? We're don't think so – but we've been surprised before.
PPA Masters is fast-approaching; early action begins January 12.
Will the ink be dry on Anna Leigh' new paddle contract by then? That's another thing we don't know for sure just yet.
But if our Magic 8 ball is to be believed: "Signs point to yes."
