UPA Announces One-Year Partnership with Predictions Market, Kalshi
Sports wagering is now a reality for PPA and MLP events — and it's legal in all 50 states.
About a month ago we told you about Polymarket, a predictions market that for the first time in its history had listed Major League Pickleball events on its platform.
That meant, effectively, users could put money on the outcome of professional pickleball matches. Cool.
Less cool: Polymarket wasn't then available for U.S.-based trading.

Today, the UPA announced a one-year exclusive deal with a different futures market called Kalshi.
Like Polymarket, Kalshi doesn't categorize its exchanges as "bets." Instead, "you can buy Yes or No positions with respect to whether an event will happen or not."
Kalshi is the first CFTC regulated exchange dedicated to trading on the outcome of future events. From inflation, to fed rates, to unemployment, to will the government shut down, Kalshi allows people to trade on a broad range of topics.
Kalshi is legal in all 50 states and integrates with the popular financial services platform, Robinhood (and its app).

How Kalshi Integrates with Pro Pickleball
For PPA Cincinnati, happening now through Sunday, Kalshi is offering action on the outcome of the five pro disciplines.
That means you can wager on who will win Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Mixed Doubles, Men's Doubles, and Women's Doubles.
So far, nearly $5,000 has been put into the collective pot.
Going forward, Kalshi futures will be available for PPA and MLP events as follows:
- The outcomes of each pro discipline (like above)
- Plus, five additional matches of interest each day (as determined by Kalshi the night before)

On Tuesday afternoon, the league put out the following statement:
Futures for Carvana PPA Tour events are now available in the U.S. on Kalshi, a regulated exchange and prediction market where you can trade on the outcome of real-world events. The United Pickleball Association is using this opportunity to continue to formulate strategic plans around futures markets and sports wagering this year and beyond.
