If you need further proof of pickleball's global expansion, this past week saw a slew of pickleball news stories and events from all over the world.

Pickleball in India

You had the Indian Open 2024, powered by the APP, which saw hundreds of players gather in Mumbai. And, in case you're wondering if pickleball is big in India, check out this article from Times Now News, which states that "Pickleball in India is not just a trend now; it's a revolution."

Pickleball in Singapore

Then, there's this news story out of Singapore discussing the government's plans to give greater financial support to national pickleball (and something called tchoukball) athletes.

Government-backed pickleball sponsorship? That's something we can definitely get behind.

Of course, this story comes on the heels of an earlier report we covered about China "Taking Over Pickleball."

"How America Gave the World Pickleball Fever"

In case you missed it, the guys from the PicklePod sat down with Tom Webb, CMO of the APP, and discussed global pickleball as well. Plus, a bunch of other stuff – seriously, it was a great episode.

While we don't know if pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the world, it sure looks that way.
