Nick Kyrgios Joins Stack Athletics as Creative Director: 'Raw, Expressive, Unapologetic'
“Tennis has its traditions — I’ve never cared about fitting into them,” Kyrgios said of the attititude he's bringing to the new role.
Stack Athletics just made its biggest swing yet.
The fast-growing racket-sport lifestyle brand added global tennis star Nick Kyrgios as both an owner and its new creative director—an unmistakable signal that the company intends to shake up the culture around tennis, pickleball, padel, and crossover athletic fashion.
Kyrgios, known for his electric on-court athleticism and creativity, called Stack a natural fit.
“Stack represents everything I stand for—making noise and pushing boundaries,” he said.
We’re building a brand with real personality. If it doesn’t make people feel something, I’m not interested.”
The appointment gives Kyrgios a hands-on role shaping design direction, capsule collections, athlete storytelling, and the overall aesthetic of the brand as it expands deeper into the world of global racket sports—including pickleball.
His influence is expected to bring a bolder, more expressive identity to a category long defined by tradition and conformity.

How the partnership came to be
In the early days of Stack, president Jeremy Nef told me, Kyrgios was actually the archetype of the athlete they molded the brand's personality and attitude around.
At the Major League Pickleball finals in NYC, the parties met. Kyrgios had already been wearing their products and liked them. He's on the ownership team of the Miami Pickleball Club and hosts a pickleball reality show on OnlyFans TV called "Smash City."
The partnership came naturally.
“Nick is a massive addition to our team, bringing a style and attitude to help drive our company forward,” said Nef.
“He’s confident, a bit rebellious and willing to break the mold — just what our industry needs. His energy and individuality align with the culture we’re building.”
Kyrgios’ role became official on November 20, 2025
What happens next?
Kyrgios steps into his new creative role at just the moment when he's returning to some of tennis’ biggest stages.
He's set to headline two major upcoming U.S. exhibitions:
- The Atlanta Cup on December 6, where he will face Wimbledon semifinalist Ben Shelton
- The Garden Cup at Madison Square Garden on December 8, where he will compete against American Olympic medalist Tommy Paul and also participate in a mixed doubles finale featuring four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka and reigning women’s World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka

To cap it all off, on December 28, Kyrgios will face Sabalenka in a high-profile Battle of the Sexes exhibition in Dubai, a modern revival of the widely remembered 1973 global event.
It's against this splashy backdrop that Kyrgios will help propel pickleball's vibe into bold new territory.
“Tennis has its traditions — I’ve never cared about fitting into them,” he said.
“As creative director, that’s the energy I’m bringing to Stack. Raw, expressive, unapologetic.”
In spring 2026, Stack plans to launch a full capsule collection designed by Kyrgios.
