DUPR Reset Is Live: Here’s What Players Need to Know

by Alex E. Weaver on

A new opportunity to reassess your pickleball rating begins today.

DUPR’s new Reset period officially opens March 16, giving players a limited-time chance to update their rating using only recent match results — with zero downside.

The first Reset window runs March 16 through May 17, 2026, and is open to any player who already has a DUPR rating.

The concept is simple: if you believe your current rating no longer reflects your true level of play, DUPR Reset allows you to prove it on the court.

How DUPR Reset works

Players who opt in will receive a separate Reset rating calculated using only matches played during the Reset window.

At the end of the period, DUPR will compare that number to your existing rating and keep whichever is higher.

In other words: all upside, no risk of your rating going down.

DUPR Launches ‘DUPR Reset,’ a Risk-Free Way to Reassess Your Current Rating
“Players want their rating to represent who they are today,” said Tito Machado, DUPR’s CEO. “Reset gives them a transparent pathway to prove it through meaningful competition.”

To qualify for a Reset rating, players must:

  • Register for DUPR Reset (cost: $35)
  • Play at least 8 matches during the Reset window
  • Compete with two different partners (doubles) or two different opponents (singles)

There’s no maximum match limit, meaning players can compete as much as they want during the window.

Only matches submitted through DUPR-connected events, leagues, or clubs count toward the Reset. Self-reported results are excluded.

Why it matters

As pickleball participation continues to surge, many players feel their rating doesn’t always reflect their current ability.

DUPR Reset is designed to give players a clean window to prove where they belong today — not where they were months or years ago.

And starting right now, that window officially opens.
