D.C. vs. Brooklyn City Classic: A Battle of Local Talent

by Luke Burton on

Two cities. One rivalry.

The first-ever Cross City Classic kicks off this Saturday, November 8, bringing two of the East Coast’s hottest pickleball communities head-to-head: DC and Brooklyn. Hosted at Gotham Pickleball, this home-and-away series is more than bragging rights; it’s a matter of city pride.

Hosted by Major League Pickleball's DC Pickleball Team and Brooklyn Pickleball Team, each organization will field its best Dink Minor League squads across three DUPR divisions (16, 18, and 20), with matches following the MLPay™️ format: women’s, men’s, two mixed games, and a Dreambreaker tie-break.

All divisions will compete simultaneously across courts. Scoring will follow The Dink Minor League rules, tallying aggregate match wins, game wins, and total points to determine which city walks away with the first-ever Cross City crown.
