adidas Pickleball 'Returns Stronger' with AdiPower Paddle Line

by Alex E. Weaver on

Forget everything you think you know about adidas Pickleball.

The global sports brand today unveiled AdiPower, a new line of power-forward paddles designed for pickleball purists who favor shotmaking ability and access to some added firepower when the situation calls for it.

The fresh offerings anchor the brand's new mantra: "Always Return Stronger."

A New Weapon for Jaume Martinez Vich

The AdiPower PRO-EDT line is built on a stable and sturdy foam-enhanced polymer foundation, offering consistency and control without sacrificing pop and power when you need it.

There are three available models:

  • Elongated, 14mm core – 16.5" x 7.5"
  • Elongated, 16mm core – 16.5" x 7.5"
  • Widebody, 16 mm core – 16" x 8"

Jaume Martinez Vich Joins adidas: ‘Adding Power Opens Up New Weapons for Me’
“I wanted to partner with a company that not only equips me with the best possible gear, but also shares my vision for growing pickleball globally,” Jaume told The Dink.

One thing you'll notice right away: adidas athlete Jaume Martinez Vich has lent his name and signature to the 16mm elongated and 16mm widebody AdiPower PRO EDT Paddles.

"I wanted to partner with a company that not only equips me with the best possible gear, but also shares my vision for growing pickleball globally," he told The Dink in August.

"Joining the adidas Pickleball family felt like aligning with a team that’s as committed to elevating the sport as I am."

Martinez Vich joins the current adidas Pickleball pro lineup, featuring Mari Humberg, Rafa Hewett, Ava Cavataio, John Cincola, and James Delgado.

Inside the AdiPower Paddle

At the heart of the AdiPower paddle line is its TriFoam Edge Reinforcement, an EVA foam reinforcement along each side that stabilizes the paddle face, reduces vibration, and adds a solid feel under pressure.

The foam protrudes inwards in three precise points – top, middle, and bottom – to amplify responsiveness and dwell time.

Other AdiPower features include:

  • Low-Density Core (LD Polypropylene): Promotes longer dwell time for precision placement and a softer feel, while maintaining solid put-away power.
  • Raw Carbon Fiber Surface: Premium raw carbon fiber creates excellent grip on the ball, generating controlled spin and confident shot shaping.
  • Carbon Perimeter & Reinforced Edge Guard: Structural reinforcement boosts durability and keeps the paddle steady on counters, drives, and defensive blocks.

For Martinez Vich, it's proven the perfect blend of finesse and power.

"Competing with the latest technology feels great," he said.

"Adding a power side to my game opens up new weapons for me."

A Top Young Pro Joins the Team

Amid the news of the AdiPower launch came another major feather in the cap of adidas Pickleball: Signing top pro CJ Klinger.

Klinger, a longtime Proton athlete, is dominant in PPA and MLP – his team, the Columbus Sliders, just pulled off an improbable run to be crowned 2025 MLP champs.

The 19-year-old Ohio native is a fan-favorite everywhere he goes. He's topped PPA podiums with the likes of JW Johnson and Andrei Daescu.

Known for a near super-human ability to bend and shape the ball at will, the 6' 3" lefty is a marquee name to add to the adidas banner. And his confidence in the tech behind AdiPower is a ringing endorsement of where the brand is going.

'Always Return Stronger'

It's no secret adidas' entry in the pickleball market was a bit of a false start.

Metalbone was, in many ways, ahead of its time, technologically speaking. The polyhedral throat design, edgeless construction, polymer and foam core options, and, of course, adjustable weight system, all leveled up to a brand pushing the bounds of innovation.

adidas Pickleball Unveils the All-New Metalbone Paddle Line
For nearly 100 years, adidas has been outfitting elite athletes with world-class gear. New today, they’ve re-entered the pickleball market with a fully redesigned Metalbone lineup.

It was, perhaps, too much, too soon for the market to bear.

AdiPower doesn't turn its back on those boundary-pushing origins, but rather seems to learn from them.

This time around, instead of dialing every performance aspect up to 11, the new AdiPower line looks to prioritize stability, consistency, feel, and feedback – a solid paddle for solid players looking for predictable power and touch.

In this way, adidas Pickleball seems poised to embrace its comeback story: "Always Return Stronger."
